When Kristi of Stargazers (one of my all time favorite florists in Asheville) reached out to ask me if I could capture some photos of her parents as they celebrated 50 years of marriage I didn't even hesitate before saying, "Of course!" There's a reason this woman is the first one I reached out to for help with my upcoming styled shoot - she has impeccable taste and is one of the sweetest souls around.
I hope you enjoy the previews as much as these two have enjoyed half a century loving each other and (to quote them), "Not killing each other."

Kristi & her brother pulled off a classy and fun celebration. I had no doubts I would love whatever route she chose to go for florals and she went with white orchids. Orchids, for the record, are one of my favorite flowers in the world. & I love how they looked among all of the gold details. Roberson Ranch in Candler was the perfect venue choice.
Her parents were such a blessing to spend an afternoon with. They were laughing and reminiscing and cracking jokes the whole time (even when I made them tough out the chilly breezes for photographs). Life goals - find someone who makes me laugh this hard even fifty years in. PS: How sweet is it that they had their wedding outfits there on display?
Congrats, you two, on fifty years - a milestone my generation should be aspiring to reach.
